Santanyí is a Municipality of the south of Mallorca where are located, in the interior, the towns of Santanyí, Calonge, s’Alqueria Blanca and es Llombards, while on the coast are Cala Esmeralda, Cala d’Or, marina de Cala d’Or, Portopetro, Cap des Moro, Cala Figuera, Cala Santanyí, Cala Llombards and Cala de s’Almunia with their wonderful beaches. The coast is about 35 kilometers long. The large number of archaeological sites - 172 - shows the existence of a productive agriculture and ranching since the pretalayotic and talayotic periods.
